Helping get Homeless pets in a loving home
On Giving Tuesday, we are looking to ramp up the campaign pool for lifesaving! NKC is a 501c3 non-profit. We have no paid employees and all our volunteers and staff work to save animals with no compensation. Every penny you donate goes to save lives!
No Kill Colorado sponsors an annual “Home for the Holidays”! Each year we work with Colorado shelters and rescues to get homeless pets home for the holidays. NKC starts with a $5000 from our general fund to kick it off. We look to compassionate donors like you to increase that number.
The campaign works with lifesaving organizations to incentivize them to get these needful pets into homes. For every pet they get in foster or adopted from Thanksgiving to Christmas day, we donate at least $50 for every animal placed.
The pets need to be 3 years or older or have special needs (medical or behavior rehabilitation needed). This ensures we are not adding to the puppy or kitten for Christmas which might result in a return. These are pets that have a harder time getting adopted or fostered.
